New official image from Wonder Woman movie highlights the ladies of Themyscira

So, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice has been released and Gal Gadot’s debut as Wonder Woman is definitely one of the better aspects of the film, even though she has a fairly minor role.

Now, Warner Bros. has released a brand new image from Diana Prince’s solo movie, via Entertainment Weekly (via Squareeyed). The image shows the warriors who inhabit the Wonder Woman world, including her mother, Queen Hippolyta (Connie Nielsen), and her two military aunts — General Antiope (Robin Wright) and Antiope’s lieutenant, Menalippe (Lisa Loven Kongsli).

In related news, after the image was shared people to to the internet to complain that the women weren’t very ‘diverse’. Director Patty Jenkins quickly came on Twitter to make per point:
