Oscar Isaac joins Denis Villeneuve’s Dune

January 30th, 2019 by Marc Comments

Denis Villeneuve’s Dune movie is building up one heck of a cast.

The Blade Runner 2049 and Arrival director is adapting Frank Herbert’s classic 1965 tale and has just  added Oscar Isaac as Duke Leto Atreides, father to the film’s villain, Paul Atreides played by Timothee Chalamet.

RebeccaFerguson, Charlotte Rampling, Dave Bautista and Stellan Skarsgard have all signed on to the movie which is not related to David Lynch’s iconic 1984 adaptation.

Dune is the epitome of epic sci-fi and if there’s one director working today we entrust to tackle such an adventurous undertaking, it’s Villeneuve.

What say you all? Any Dune fans in the house? Talk to us…

Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
