Oooooooh… when worlds collide.
Seems like Peter Capaldi, the last actor to star in Doctor Who before the current Doctor, is stepping into a role in James Gunn’s Suicide Squad sequel.
On top of that, it seem SNL’s Pete Davison is in talks to have a small role in the movie too, while word is Capaldi’s role is pretty much signed up and ready to rock.
On top of that, the new reports are that the movie’s first table read is on September 11th while production will kick-off on September 23rd.
The Suicide Squad as it’s called, while not a direct sequel to the first movie, will see Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn), Viola Davis (Amanda Waller), Jai Courtney (Captain Boomerang) and Joel Kinnaman (Rick Flag) return while Idris Elba, David Dastmalchian (Polka-Dot Man), Daniela Melchior (Ratcatcher), Flula Borg, Steve Agee (King Shark), Nathan Fillion and Taika Waititi has all joined the cast too..
Gunn has previously confirmed that the movie will rely on music as much as Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy movies, although in a different way.
Say what you want about Gunn but he has assembled a heck of a cast.
The Squad returns on June 19th, 2020.
