Peyton Reed back for directing duties on Ant-man 3

November 1st, 2019 by Marc Comments

Well, we figured it was coming, but it’s now been made official… Ant-man 3 is a-go!

Word is that Peyton Reed, the director of the first two movies, is back to complete his trilogy and the only piece of news that, as of now, seems confirmed is that Paul Rudd will be back as Scott Lang/Ant-Man, with Evangeline Lilly’s return expected too.

Michael Douglas, who plays Hank Pym, the first Ant-man, in the movies confirmed he’s returning too, saying: “The Marvel world has really been a blast! I love them, I’m having a great time. We’re starting a third [Ant-Man movie] in the beginning of January 2021.”

There’s no details on the plot – although we expect to see the Quantum Realm – which popped up in Ant-man and the Wasp and Endgame – playing a big role in the story.

Reed said after the second movie: “There are definitely things in this movie that, if we’re fortunate enough to make another one, there’s a lot to play with. We spend more time in the Quantum Realm in this movie, obviously, than the first movie but it feels like we’re just dipping our toes into it.”

It’s also expected that the movie will appear in 2022 in Marvel’s Phase 5.

Are you excited to see Ant-man back? I can never have too much Paul Rudd, so I’m totally ok with this… let me know your thoughts?.
