In the “I’m not sure how I should take this” story of the day. There appears to be more changes to the Power Rangers movie, which is a “retelling” of the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, than we thought.
First up, it’ll apparently be called “Saban’s Power Rangers” according to reports. You can take that as you will, it’s not as uncommon as you might think…but…
…the REAL twist is that the characters will NOT be the same names as the original team. Even though they will have the same color schemes for their Ranger outfits and their Zords will be the original Dino Zords. Here is what they will be called if the report is true:
·Callum Oliver – The Red Ranger/Tyrannosaurus
·Priya Patel – The Pink Ranger/Pterodactyl
·Brian Olson – The Blue Ranger/Triceratops
·Oscar Fernandez – The Black Ranger/Mastodon
·Teyana Jones – The Yellow Ranger/Sabre-tooth Tiger
Now this is still unofficial for now…but it is weird to be sure. This raises a lot of questions about this will all fit into everything, especially since it was said to be “tied into” the ongoing series and not an alternate universe or anything like. has this changed?
