November 4th, 2017 by Marc Comments

We all know that Red Sonja was a (pretty bad) movie in the 1980s starring Bridgette Neilsen and Arnold Schwarzenegger (watch the trailer below) and we all know that it almost became a movie a few years ago again with Rose McGowan starring and Robert Rodriquez tipped to helm – it even had a teaser poster (below also) – but did you know it’s getting a new remake?

No? Well come along with us and we’ll share the details…

It seems that Millennium Media is set to make a new version of the movie with the hope being that it will be the beginning of a new franchise with a strong female character front and centre…

The movie will be produced by Millennium’s Avi Lerner and Joe Gatta and is currently looking for a writer: “We have been waiting for the right lernertime for this remake and with the success of Wonder Woman, the audience has spoken. They want female heroes,” said Lerner.

And that’s all the details we have for now but rest easy, we’ll keep you posted as and when new details arrive.

Meanwhile here’s the glorious trailer for the original movie.

Enjoy…
