Ridley Scott developing a new Alien movie at Fox

With the Alien franchise sitting stronger than it has in years, it looks like the man who started it all is coming back home.

With Fede Alvarez’s Alien: Romulus performing well both with fans and commercially in recent weeks, plus Noah Hawley’s new TV series, Alien: Earth coming next year, Ridley Scott has revealed that he is currently developing a new entry in the series at 20th Century Fox.

While he has not revealed any more details, it’s likely that he will finally return to the prequel story he kicked off with 2012’s Prometheus and then continued in 2017 with Alien: Covenant as it still feels like that story is unfinished and a new movie in that series could be a great way to pull the prequels and the main timeline, which starts with Scott’s 1979 classic, Alien.

We also know that Alvarez is in talks to return for a Romulus sequel, so it seems there’s now two Alien movies in development.

And that’s just fine with us all here are FTN HQ.

What say you all?
