Robert Pattinson is the new big screen Batman. Probably.

It looks like we have our new Batman/Bruce Wayne for the DC big screen adventures.

Probably.

Reports are coming in that Robert Pattinson, famous for his role in the Twilight movies but recently proving he has real acting chops, has clinched the role of the Dark Knight in Matt Reeves’ upcoming The Batman.

However… I’m also hearing that the deal isn’t exactly done yet and X-Men star Nicholas Hoult is still in the running – although, for all that, it most likely is Pattinson’s gig.

Pattinson is replacing Ben Affleck in the role and will be playing a younger version of that Batman but aside from that, little else is known about the plot.

Interestingly, at 33, he’s the youngest actor to play the part on the big screen.

The Batman is expected to start filming at the end of the year.
