Robert Zemeckis makes it clear there’ll be no more Back To The Future outings

More good news!

It seems that all our fears that a Back To The Future reboot/remake might happen have been put to bed!

Robert Zemeckis, director of the Back To The Future trilogy has been asked – and we’re sure he gets this a lot – if there’s any chance of a fourth movie in the series to which he replied:

“There will not be any more Back To The Future.”

Now, while some of here at FTN HQ would be very excited to see a fourth BTTF outing – myself included – we just know the nothing could recapture the magic of the originals and with the cast so much older now, we’d probably see a reboot and, frankly, the original trilogy is still sharp, fresh and fun so it totally holds up still, so we’d hate a reboot.

We now have hope that the BTTF trilogy will be that perfect trilogy, forever maintained in its pure brilliance for fans to discover time and time again.

Or are we wrong? Thoughts?

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
