RUMOUR: Is FTN favourite Jeff Bridges set to play Darkseid in the DC Cinematic Universe?

Right gang, rumour time!

But it’s a rumour we can get behind because, frankly, we love Jeff Bridges!

Ok, so here’s the deal. We know Irish actor Ciaran Hines is playing Steppenwolf in Justice League when it arrives this November but we also know from Batman V Superman and the reveal of the mega Symbol in the Knightmare sequence that Darkseid, the real big bad in the DC comics, is coming at some point to the DC Cinemamatic universe.

And now there’s a rumour floating around online that Jeff Bridges will play him… presumably through motion capture and voice acting.

Now we know Bridges has already played a Marvel villain in Iron Man as Obidiah Stain but we reckon he was killed off too soon there and this is his chance to be a long term threat in a comic book universe.

Up until now we had heard that DC were reluctant to use Darkseid as he is similar to Thanos in the Marvel universe but we reckon the audience can work it out, don’t you?

Bridges for Darkseid? Thoughts?

The Justice League arrives on Nov 17th.
