Ryan Reynolds and John Krasinski team up on imaginary friends comedy

October 18th, 2019 by Marc Comments

Sometimes an idea just feels right and this is one of those times.

It seems John Krasinski is to write, direct, produce and star in a fantasy comedy called Imaginary Friends about a man who can communicate with people’s imaginary friends but “Trouble emerges from imaginary friends who lack friendship and turn to the dark side”.

And as if that doesn’t send good enough, the movie will co-star Ryan Reynolds.

No word on who plays who in the Paramount comedy but honestly, with Krasinski returning to comedy for the first time since The Office, it’s definitely one to look forward to.

He proved he can direct horror with A Quiet Place… but can he direct comedy?

What say you all?

In related news, Ryan Reynolds’ new comedy movie, Free Guy, has got a poster.

The movie will star Reynolds as a guy who realises he is a background character in an online, open-world video game that is – gasp! – about to be taken offline. so… Wreck-it Ralph?

Anyway, the movie is directed by Night At The Museum and Stranger Things’ Shawn Levy and arrives on July 3rd, 2020

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
