Oh, DC and Warners, what is it with you and directors?!
Only a couple of weeks after discussing in detail how the Justice League Dark movie would be a personal and small tale focused on John Constantine (here), director-to-be Doug Liman has had to leave the movie.
It is understood that Liman – who certainly seemed enthusiastic in the previous article – reluctantly stepped down as director because of a scheduling conflict with another movie, Choas Walking, which he’s currently directing.
We were excited to see what Lima would do in the darkest corner of the DC story but we’ve not lost all hope yet as THR writer Borys Kit is reporting that IT director Andy Muschietti is already being sought to pick up where Liman left off.
From what we’ve seen of IT, this could also be a fun director/direction for the darker side of the DC Universe.
Studio is already looking for new director on JUSTICE LEAGUE DARK, with one source saying IT director Andy Muschietti is on the list.
