Look, we’re really excited for the new Predator movie, ok?

Now c0-writer director Shane Black as spilled some of the very cool details about the movie and how it will fit in with the first two movies (and maybe the dreadful AvP movies).

Talking to Collider (full interview is below), Black said the movie will likely be his next project.

As for the scale? Well recently Black said the movie would be a big, event-sized project. Now he seems a little less keen on the ‘big’:  “it doesn’t have to be huge—but it just has to feel like a Predator movie you want to see in the summer and line up for it… Let’s get back to the excitement and innovation of that original movie where it felt fresh.”

Like the other two movies (we reckon AvP is forgotten about), the movie “will be set in present day” and what about the rumours that Arnold Schwarzenegger would be back?

“I think it’s something we’re looking into, and as this thing evolves and takes on more of a shape, we’ll figure out how best to honor the tradition of what is really a remarkable first movie and even parts of the rest of them as well.”

We’re excited to see what Kiss, Kiss, Bang, Bang and Iron Man 3’s Black will do with The Predator… whatever it is, we reckon it’s well worth looking forward to.

Remember, if it bleeds we can kill it…

The Predator is slated for a March 2nd, 2018
