So when will we see the X-Men and Fantastic Four in the MCU? Kevin Feige spills the beans…

If, like us, you’re excited for the arrival of the X-Men and Fantastic Four into the MCU, you may have a while to wait.

Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has been talking about the MCU after the upcoming – and highly anticipated – Avengers: Endgame and and what comes next including, among others,  Shang-Chi, Black Widow and The Eternals.

“It’ll be a while,” Feige says about the arrival of the newcomers.

“It’s all just beginning and the five-year plan that we’ve been working on, we were working on before any of that was set. So really it’s much more, for us, less about specifics of when and where [the X-Men will appear] right now and more just the comfort factor and how nice it is that they’re home. That they’re all back. But it will be a very long time.”

With the news from Cinemacon last week that X-Men: Dark Phoenix and The New Mutants will both be part of Marvel/Disney’s slate for the year, it likely makes sense that the X-Men need to be left for a while for new audiences to accept that the X-Men we’ve known for the last 19 years are gone and will be replaced by new versions of them.

Now, Feige hasn’t been so outspoken about when we’ll meet the new Fantastic Four, so perhaps we’ll see them sooner? After all, we’ve not seen them on screen for a few years and the last

Are you in a hurry for the arrival

Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
