STAR WARS CELEBRATION: Harrison Ford talks Indiana Jones 5 and we get new concept art from the movie

May 26th, 2022 by Marc Comments

Man, I wish I was at Star Wars Celebration Anaheim!

Harrison Ford just surprised fans at the event to talk, not about Star Wars, but that other legendary character… Indiana Jones, who returns next year for his fifth outing.

“It’s a great pleasure to be here,” Ford said before saying he was “really proud of the movie that we made.”

Ford, of course played Jones in the first four movies in the saga and is now returning at least once more. But, just as important to these franchises as Ford, composer John Williams, who was also there, recently turned 90.

“It’s a special honor for me to be able to congratulate John on his 90th birthday,” Ford said.

“I told John on another occasion that we had the chance to be together, and that music follows me everywhere I go. And you know what, I’m happy about it.”

The movie will be directed by James Mangold, replacing Steven Spielberg for the first time in the saga, and will hit cinemas on June 30th, 2023.

You can see Ford at the event below and check out the very cool piece of concept art from the movie above.

Fortune and fame, kids, fortune and fame…

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
