Star Wars Episode VII and Rebels news round-up

It’s been a particularly busy week for Star Wars with lots of news and rumours trickling through… so, without further ado, here’s what’s been happening…

Episode VII news

Latino Review has been reporting that in episode VII Oscar Isaac’s character may well own the Millennium Falcon. What?!

The next piece is that the filming in Ireland (yay!) may have been a scene where we learn that Luke has been a prisoner for some time – but to who? They report that on location the place markers OW and K were visible… could this be for Daisy Ridley who is rumoured to play a character called Kira and was confirmed as part of the filming?

Ok, Deadline now, who have spoken to Daisy Ridley’s representatives and were told that “the plan is for her carry through to the second and third films that will be directed by Looper helmer Rian Johnson”, this certainly implies she’s set to be a big part of the story… could the daughter of Han and Leia rumour be true?

Finally, Chewbacca himself, Peter Mayhew told Blastr that Episode VII will be almost entirely practical effects. Which we think we knew but it’s good to hear from someone in the know…
