Suicide Squad’s Amanda Waller, played by Viola Davis (How to get away with murder), is likely to be sticking around for three more films.

Viola revealed to The New York Times that: “This is my first big superhero movie. I signed on for three, so it needed to be a great experience.”

What is interesting here is that this could mean she’s set for three DC films, one of which is the Suicide Squad. We could therefore see her in different DC films, such as both parts of the Justice League films for example.

The DC cinematic universe is in its relatively early stages and there are about ten films set for release between now and 2020. We therefore don’t know what might happen or who will become important etc. Furthermore, with the menacing expansion of Marvel’s cinematic universe we can’t accurately say how much attention DC will be given.

From the looks of the trailers for both Suicide Squad and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, DC is in for a great year.

Suicide Squad will be released on 5th August 2016. DC’s next film Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will be released on 25th March 2016.
