So remember in February I reported a Gremlins animated series was in the works? No, well it was here.
Anyway, Now I have am official synopsis and title for you.
Well, the title you probably already got from the image above, it’s Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai and it’s from Warner Brothers and has a ten-episode order (for now).
Here’s the details”
Set in 1920s Shanghai, the series will tell the story of how 10-year-old Sam Wing met the young Mogwai called Gizmo.
Along with a teenage street thief named Elle, Sam and Gizmo take a perilous journey through the Chinese countryside, encountering, and sometimes battling, colorful monsters and spirits from Chinese folklore. On their quest to return Gizmo to his family and uncover a legendary treasure, they are pursued by a power-hungry industrialist and his growing army of evil Gremlins.
Tze Chun will write the series and serve as co-executive producer. Darryl Frank and Justin Falvey of Amblin Television will executive produce along with Sam Register. Brendan Hay will also co-executive produce with Dan Krall serving as supervising producer.
Amblin produces in association with Warner Bros. Animation.
Honestly, to me this is like the Jurassic World animated series in so far as I like the movies but have no desire for this… but I’ll be watching anyway. Who knows, it could be good.
