Talks happening over new Harley Quinn movie project?

June 5th, 2020 by Marc Comments

Well, it looks like 2020 is the year of Harley Quinn, doesn’t it?

Earlier this year we had the (pretty bad) Birds of Prey movie that, while it tanked, had most fans agreeing Harley was the best thing in it. Then we had season 2 of the DC Universe Harley Quinn animated show (it’s superb btw) and next August we’ll be seeing her return return in the sequel to Suicide Squad, called, em, The Suicide Squad.

So all-in-all, Harley is the flavour of the moment.

And it looks like there’s more of Margot Robbie’s Harley to come.

Reports have emerged that the next Quinn project is in the planning stages already at Warner Bros.

While it seems there’s no real news about what that may be, it’s pretty obvious that fans will be hoping for a Gotham City Sirens movie – this has been touted for a long time, since just after 2016’s Suicide Squad, in fact, where Robbie first appeared as Joker’s girlfriend.

At the time it was very much looking like Squad writer/director David Ayer would direct, but since then much has happened and the movie seemed to vanish off the schedule altogther.

It really seemed dead after Birds of Prey crashed and burned at the cinema, but it seems that WB still have faith in Quinn.

And, in fairness, who can blame them? She certainly seems to be a hit with fans – even if BoP didn’t exactly prove that.

What say you all? Would a new Harley movie be a welcome treat? Let me know…
