Are you ready for the return of those Heroes in the Half Shell? Well, you should be.

While the Ninja Turtles have never really left the public consciousness, the heroes, Master Splinter, April O’Neill and all the wonderful world of heroes and villains, are set to arrive on the big screen again this summer, the first time since TMNT in 2007 in the all-new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem from producer Seth Rogan.

We’re getting a full trailer tomorrow but in the meantime, we have the reveal of the star-studded cast for this CG-animated adventure all the way from the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards.

Micah Abbey (Donatello)
Shamon Brown Jr. (Michelangelo)
Nicolas Cantu (Leonardo)
Brady Noon (Raphael)
Jackie Chan (Splinter)
Seth Rogen (Bebop)
John Cena (Rocksteady)
Hannibal Buress (Genghis Frog)
Rose Byrne (Leatherhead)
Ice Cube (Superfly)
Natasia Demetriou (Wingnut)
Ayo Edebiri (April O’Neil)
Giancarlo Esposito (Baxter Stockman)
Post Malone (Ray Fillet)
Paul Rudd (Mondo Gecko)
Maya Rudolph (Cynthia Utrom)

No point in lying, that’s a pretty cool cast…

Nickelodeon Animation and Paramount Animation’s Ramsey Naito said: “We are beyond thrilled by this world-class cast we’ve assembled to bring these iconic, beloved characters to life in a new chapter of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles universe. This really sets a new bar for this globally celebrated franchise, and we can’t wait to show audiences this film.”

While we don’t believe the movie has a chance of being better than the 2012 animated Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series, the fact that The Mitchells vs. the Machines’ Jeff Rowe is directing.

We’re certainly looking forward to the trailer tomorrow –  and you can see it here too.

After years of being sheltered from the human world, the Turtle brothers set out to win the hearts of New Yorkers and be accepted as normal teenagers through heroic acts,” reads the official synopsis for the film.

Their new friend April O’Neil helps them take on a notorious crime syndicate, but they soon get in over their heads when an army of mutants is unleashed upon them.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem hits cinemas on August 4th, 2023

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
