Like it or not, we’re getting a new Terminator movie and, to be honest, we actually kinda like what we’re hearing so far…
Anyway, Skydance have released this above image on their official Facebook page and, while it’s nothing more than a tease, it does include the legend: RIP Sarah in memory of the late camera assistant Sarah Jones.
So, we like much of the casting, we like the director and we are kind of suckers for Terminator movies, so we’re trying not t be but the excitement is there… lurking, wanting to be released…
The reboot of the franchise being produced by Paramount Pictures and Skydance Productions will bring back Arnold Schwarzenegger in the title role with Jai Courtney playing Kyle Reese, Jason Clarke as John Connor and Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke playing Sarah Connor. Dayo Okeniyi is playing Danny the son of Miles Dyson, the Cyberdyne engineer largely responsible for the birth of Skynet. J.K. Simmons is playing a detective who has followed a bizarre case involving Sarah Connor and robots for more than three decades.
The idea is to thread together ideas from the previous movies to relaunch the story of a cyborg from the future sent back to prevent computers from gaining sentience and turning on humanity.
The film will be released July 1, 2015.
