‘Texas Chainsaw Massacre’ Prequel Will Be Titled ‘Leatherface’

August 14th, 2014 by Andrew McCarroll Comments

The prequel which will focus on the teenage years of the chainsaw wielding lunatic will be titled ‘Leatherface’ imaginatively enough. Which was already the title of the third part of the original series.

Just to add to the confusion it is not specified if this is a prequel to the 1970s original, the 2003 remake, the 2006 reboot or last year’s Texas Chainsaw 3D which inexplicably took in $23.3 million in its first three days of release to knock “The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey,” from the top of the box office

The script will be written by newcomer Seth M. Sherwood. Production could start as soon as this winter, with a director expected to sign on in the coming weeks.
