Get ready for the new daily show

That Han Solo art was legit as we get new character, toy, Force Friday and movie details

We’re only five months out from the Han Solo movie and we still have seen no footage… although we’re hearing a trailer is due to fro possibly as soon as this week!

However, before we get that far, how about a few interesting bits n’ pieces of news?

Firstly, a Reddit user is reporting that more reshoots are set for this month – now, we know we shouldn’t report on a Reddit post, but this particular user called the Ron Howard hiring before it was announced in June, so we’re figuring there may be something to it.

Speaking of reshoots, Deadline spoke to actor Donald Glover about playing the younger Lando Calrissian in the movie and hue says that, despite original directors Lord and Miller being replaced by Howard, nothing really changed:  “[Howard] did a good job of coming in and didn’t want us to change what we were doing at all. He wanted us to be comfortable with our vision.”

Oh, and Howard posted an image a few days back featuring what looks very similar to a small racing car only this one clearly isn’t of earth origin and we’re pretty sure that’s Han’s gloves on the wheel:

Ok, so remember the art above that debuted last week? Well, we kept it posted while we were hearing that Lucasfilm were asking sites to remove it while also saying it wasn’t official.

This didn’t sit right with us as we reckoned if they are asking sites to pull the images then they must be official in some capacity… and they were.

Honestly, we reckoned here at FTN that the images would be from merchandise or toy packaging and, lo, leaked LEGO images have revealed that that is exactly what they are.

And therefore the pointy nosed Falcon is legit…

On top of this, the leaked images have revealed some interesting details about the so far unknown additions to the cast. We already know that Alden Ehrenreich is Han Solo while Donald Glover is Lando Calrissian, Joonas Suotamo is Chewbacca and Woody Harrelson is Tobias Beckett.

Now we also know that Emilia Clarke is playing Qi’Ra, Thandie Newton is playing Quay and Phoebe Waller-Bridge is playing DD-BD – so it seems the new movie will also have a droid featured prominently.

Oh, and it looks like this year we’ll be getting another Force Friday type event, with the release of new toys and merchandise:
