While we all got excited for the IT trailer a few days ago (and we weren’t alone as it has broken records with almost 200million views in the first 24 hours), we were also wondering… where the heck is The Dark Tower trailer?!
Well, still no sign of it yet (although we love the new poster above) and now we’ve learned that the movie has been delayed another week from July 28th to August 4th, having already been moved from its original release of February 17th this year.
Why? Well, the movie has simply swopped dates with The Emoji Movie which Sony wants to have “more summertime play”.
We’re assured this will be the las move for The Dark Tower and we certainly hope this is the case because we’ve already waited almost 30 years… and we can’t take any more!
The Dark Tower is being directed by Nikolaj Arcel (A Royal Affair) and stars Idris Elba (Luther) as Roland Deschain, Matthew McConaughey (Interstellar) as the Man in Black, Tom Taylor (Doctor Foster) as Jake Chambers, Abbey Lee (Mad Max: Fury Road) as Tirana, Fran Kranz (The Cabin in the Woods) as Pimli, Jackie Earle Haley (Watchmen) as Richard Sayre, Michael Barbieri (Little Men) as Timmy, Claudia Kim (Avengers: Age of Ultron) as Arra Champignon and Katheryn Winnick (Vikings) as Laurie Chambers.
It will be released on August 4th, 2017.
