In a Twitter post earlier this year from Monster Island Buddies (below) we can see a draft script for Roger Rabbit 2: the Toon Patrol that unfortunately never got made, unfortunate cos we’d all get to see who Roger’s father is.
The picture is the end of the script in which we can see that Roger is meant to be having a conversation with his mother in which he asks: “but what about my father?”
Now this is the part where the camera pans around and right there, leaning against the box office itself, is none other than Mr Bugs Frickin’ Bunny munching on a carrot, he then turns towards the camera and says “Ain’t I a stinker?” in typical Bugs fashion.
Now if you’re like me and you enjoyed the original, apart from being terrified when he rolls over the guy with the steam roller, then you’re probably a bit disappointed that you never got to see this.
Thoughts?
Fun fact! In one draft of the never-made Roger Rabbit sequel, the film ended on an awkward reveal of who Roger’s father is… pic.twitter.com/tYJOT25IRk
