Tyler Labine says ‘the Tucker & Dale Vs Evil story isn’t done being told’ and Alan Tudyk is on board too

Tucker and Dale fans rejoice, for it seems we have more hi-jinks to look forward to involving the lovable duo.

The original movie (ten years ago!) saw Tyler Labine and Alan Tudyk as the titular duo in Eli Craig’s horror comedy who acquire a house out in the woulds and are mistaken for redneck killers by a bunch of teens in the area.

And what follows is a hilarious, gory, rollercoaster as everything that can happen does.

And one thing it has going for it is that almost anyone who has seen it has wanted a sequel since the end credits rolled.

And now it may actually happen.

Speaking a while back, star Tyler Labine about Escape Room, and he teased that the pair are far from finished in the roles (hopefully): “We’re working on something right now. I wouldn’t call it a film sequel, but the story is not done being told,” Labine said.

“I can’t really tell you much, but we’re in development with a couple things right now. Things are looking pretty good. Alan and I are both still on board, along with Eli. We’re just trying to line up a few pieces. It’s just a matter of timing. We’re going to get something to the fans, because that’s really the only reason we want to do it. No one’s getting rich off this thing. Alan and I have always been like, ‘Whatever we do has to be for the people that stuck with it and made it what it is.’ That’s all the fans. Hopefully something will come to fruition.“

This sounds very heartening and in a world where we have the likes of Stan Against Evil and the Evil Dead series, Tucker and Dale are crying out for a return.

And I’ll be first in line to see whatever they do next.

Any fans of the hapless due on here? Let me know your thoughts…
