Well Maleficent could only hold on to the top spot for one week thanks to the comedy duo of Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum returning with 22 Jump Street, which has gone straight into the number one spot.
In more good news for 22 Jump Street the movie has managed to triple what the original took, it’s normally the rule of thumb when it comes to sequels, usual they take around double what the original has, however this has been more successful than most.
Only two other new entries in this week’s chart. Firstly, going in at number nine, was critically panned Grace of Monaco, the only other new entry went in at number seven which was the special event to commemorate the events of World War 2 with D-day 70 years on.
New Releases – Not a big week when it comes to new films, on offer is horror Oculus, real life drama with Devil’s Knot and period drama Belle.
