Though it didn’t shatter box office records, Kingsman proved to have massive legs, and repeatedly made money week after week. After all was said and done, it made over $400 million at the box office (with rumors saying it only took $60 million to make). So, naturally, a sequel is inevitable…and has even been hinted at. But is it coming?

Director Matthew Vaughn spoke out on this and gave some interesting news.

“Well, the good news is that I’m writing it next door at the moment. If I think I can get the script good enough, then we are making it. We are doing our damnedest to make that happen.”

Furthermore, he’s more than up for directing the sequel should it come to that.

“I’m in love with these characters and I want to work with them again so I’ll probably be breaking the rule of me tending not to make sequels.”

So be happy Kingsman fans! This may not only just happen, but it be from the team that made the first one so epic.
