Look, we know we’re in the minority here, but we liked Venom. We didn’t love it, but we enjoyed it… it was… enjoyable.
So we’re happy to report that the the sequel – which there was no doubt was coming after the movie did really well at the ol’ box office ($855) – is going ahead.
Kelly Marcel, who was one of the screenwriters on the first movie, is set to pen the script for what is believed to be a pretty substantial pay-day (not sure why that’s important, but there you have it).
Tom Hardy will be back as Eddie Brock/Venom as will Michelle Williams and Woddy Harrelson who will have more than just a cameo this time out as Carnage.
However, director Reuben Fleischer is unlucky to come back as he will be filming Zombieland 2: The Doubletap.
Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach and Amy Pascal will return as producers… but we’ll not let that ruin our happiness.
