Oh, yes please!

Vin Diesel seems to have convinced three time Fast and Furious director Justice Lin to come back for the final movie. And this makes us very happy indeed.

With  F. Gary Gray currently filming the eighth movie in the series set for April 14th, 2017, the movies have only (only!) two more instalments left and it would be superb to have Lin back, since he’s the one who elevated the series to the action movie major leagues.

Fast 9 is scheduled for  April 19th, 2019 while ten will hit on  April 2nd, 2021.

Wired have reported that Diesel says he’s already talked to Lin about coming back to the fold:“I’m going to bring him back. Whenever we had a day off—even on Thanksgiving, his favorite holiday—it was Justin and me working on how far we could take it. Success comes from 10 years of that mentality.”

Lin said that Vin has pretty much persuaded him: “Vin says you finish what you started,” Lin said, “and he’s very persuasive.”

It’s also expected that Fast and Furious spin-offs will happen, with one almost certainly focusing on Dwayne Johnson’s Hobbs character.

Fast 8 will star Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Elsa Pataky and Lucas Black along with Jason Statham, Dwayne Johnson, Scott Eastwood and Kurt Russell. Charlize Theron will be the villain of the piece along with Kristofer Hivju.

Now THAT is a cast…

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
