Warning: Potential Episode 8 spoilers ahead!

It looks like Rian Johnson’s Star Wars: Episode VIII is set to follow Star Wars: The Force Awakens example and be full of cool little cameos.

While the movie is still eighteen months away, rumours that Tom Hardy having a cameo have been rampant – including one that he was set ton be Boba Fett (?!).

Now Making Star Wars is reporting they have the details of what his cameo really will be a: “Stormtrooper who glimpses FN-2187 on a secret mission but doesn’t realise it. The “incognito” FN-2187 is surprised when the Stormtrooper walks up behind him and slaps him on the ass. FN-2187 turns around and believes he’s dead. He’s surely going to be captured. The Stormtrooper is elated to see his old friend from back during their First Order academy days. The Stormtrooper congratulates FN-2187 on his promotion to Resistance infiltrator and spy. FN-2187 is free to go about his business to his amazement.”

So it look like Hardy is set to be this movie’s Daniel Craig.

Thoughts?

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
