WATCH: Adam Sandler psychological horror Spaceman gets a trailer

January 17th, 2024 by Marc Comments

It looks like Adam Sandler is about to prove his acting chops once more and, while he doesn’t do it too often, when he does, it’s well worth your time.

Coming to Netflix in March, Spaceman stars Sandler as a lone space traveler who may be going crazy when he’s visited by an ancient alien (ahem) in the form of Paul Dano’s giant spider-like entity.

It also stars Carey Mulligan and Isabella Rossellini and, if that’s not enough to convince you, it’s directed by Chernobyl’s Johan Renck.

I’ll be waiting for this one with bated breath.

Six months into a solitary research mission to the edge of the solar system, an astronaut, Jakub (Adam Sandler), realizes that the marriage he left behind might not be waiting for him when he returns to Earth. Desperate to fix things with his wife, Lenka (Carey Mulligan), he is helped by a mysterious creature from the beginning of time he finds hiding in the bowels of his ship. HanuÅ¡ (voiced by Paul Dano) works with Jakub to make sense of what went wrong before it is too late.

Directed by Johan Renck and based on the novel Spaceman of Bohemia, the film also stars Kunal Nayyar, Lena Olin, and Isabella Rossellini.

Spaceman hits Netflix on 1st March 2024.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
