Ok, so we’ve seen Amazing Spider-man 2 and, being honest, we loved as much as we didn’t, it was a movie of highs and lows, and personally, one of the things I liked most was the little nods to Daily Bugle Editor-In-Chief, JJ Jameson, existing in this universe.
But, we never actually saw him – although we did hear from him and, to be honest, I could just picture JK Simmons from the Sam Raimi movies, sitting at his desk, sending out messages. I was never a fan of the Sam Raimi movies, but oh my, I loved Simmons’ JJ.
Anyway, in a recent Google Hangout (below) the cast and director appeared to talk all things Spider-man and one of those things was JJ. Director Marc Webb said: “It was more easy to accept a new Spider-Man than someone who could out do J.K. Simmons in that role, he is so iconic. That’s something we’ve really talked about. Obviously I love that character because he poses such an interesting dilemma for Spider-Man. The answer is I don’t know, but I think you can expect to see him in the future.”
