Everyone is talking about Back To The Future at the minute with next Wednesday being the day when Marty and Doc arrive in the future…

And, with that in mind, Christopher Lloyd, Doc Brown himself, has been talking about coming back if a fourth movie ever happened (it won’t) and he’s VERY up for it. Chatting to THR, the actor said he would love it: “I would love to do Doc again, no question!” Lloyd says.

“It’s tough to come up with an idea that contains the excitement of the original three,” Lloyd says.

“So it would be a real challenge for the writers to come up with an original Back to the Future story that has the same passion and intensity and excitement as the other three. But it could be done, you never know…”

But what about Michael J Fox, did Lloyd think he’d come back? Fox suffers from Parkinson’s Disease now but would it deter him? Heck, no, says  Lloyd: “I think regardless of the Parkinson’s, he’d probably jump on the role and he’d be great,” Lloyd says.

“I can’t see doing another sequel without him. I would certainly want Bob Zemeckis directing it, Bob Gale writing it and the other principals being involved.” And, of course, there has got to be a DeLorean, he added. “It was such a perfect choice for the film. It looked so speedy and futuristic.”

We would love to see Doc and Marty back on the big screen but we can’t help but feel that too long has passed now, sadly. However, should it ever come to pass, we’d be front of the line to see it. NO question.

Wednesday, Oct 21st is Back To The Future Day. What are you planning?

Here’s a wonderful little video done by Toyota of Michael J Fox and Christopher Lloyd talking about what future tech the second movie got right. It’s a sweet little video but, I’m just going to say it, it makes me feel just a little sad…

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
