WATCH: Fast & Furious 9 has started filming and Jordana Brewster and Michelle Rodriquez are both back

It looks like Jordan Brewter may be back as Mia in the Fast & Furious franchise after having to sit out the last instalment over the death (in real life in 2013) of her onscreen husband Brian (played by the late Paul Walker).

However, in a new post on Instagram, star Vin Diesel video’d himself with the actress and Isaac, baby Brian in the new movie, saying:  “Okay, we’re here, and it is day four. We are still in gratitude because this is such a beautiful place to shoot. We love filming in London, this is one of many locations.”

“I’m here with Jordana — Mia — my incredible sister on and off screen, and we have someone very, very special here,” Diesel added, introducing Isaac, a child actor who’ll be playing, in his words, “baby Brian!”

I had heard rumours that there may be plans to bring back Paul Walker’s Brian for the new movie by using CGI and his brothers as they had for unfinished scenes in Fast Seven and with the return of Mia and there son, baby Brian, I reckon there’s a good chance there may be something to that.

Day 4!!! Grateful to make magic… with angels abound. Fast9-2020

The star had also taken to Instagram a few days earlier – last weekend to celebrate the first day of filming on the ninth movie has finished and also to confirm the return of Letty, star Michelle Rodriquez – likely due to there being some doubt about her returning due to the movies needing to be more supportive to women (clearly missing all the kick-ass women in the franchise – including herself).

Fast and Furious 9 will arrive in May next year with Justin Linn returning to direct after he single-handedly turned the franchise into one of the biggest action franchises on the planet.

I love Linn, I love these characters and I’m not ashamed to say I love this franchise… so bring it all on!

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer.
