Airing last night, TV special Marvel 75 Years From Pulp to Pop! gave us our first look at Ant-man plus some more Avengers: Age of Ultron behind the scenes footage.

We get to see Paul Rudd’s Scott Lang with Micheal Douglas’ Hank Pym and we also get a pretty good look at the helmet too.

Armed with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, con-man Scott Lang must embrace his inner-hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym, protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from a new generation of towering threats. Against seemingly insurmountable obstacles, Pym and Lang must plan and pull off a heist that will save the world.

Ant-Man is directed by Peyton Reed the script was rewritten by Adam McKay and it stars Paul Rudd as Scott Lang aka Ant-Man, and Michael Douglas as his mentor Dr. Hank Pym and Evangeline Lilly as Hope Van Dyne, daughter of Hank Pym. The rest of the cast includes Corey Stoll, Bobby Cannavale, Michael Peña, Abby Ryder Fortson, Judy Greer, David Dastmalchian, Wood Harris, John Slattery, Gregg Turkington and T.I..

Ant-Man is scheduled for release on July 17th, 2015

UPDATE: Is that The Vision in the background?

Did we secretly just get a look at The Vision albeit very biefly in the footage above? Well it looks like; around the 20sec mark in the video, just behind Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet you can see the red head and yellow cape of The Vision. We have a screen grab below, let us know if you agree…

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
