Adam Sandler and Netflix dropped the first teaser for the highly anticipated Happy Gilmore 2 on Christmas Day (Happy Christmas, get it?) and it has me and the gang at FTN HQ more excited than ever!
The teaser offers just a glimpse of Happy – Sandler – coming back to golf but gives no hint as to why or what is happening, but it does give us an interesting final scene with Happy facing off against his old enemy Shooter McGavin (Christopher McDonald), with the two in a graveyard and Shooter in pyjamas… what is happening?!
Netflix offered no clue as to when the sequel will drop, just confirming it’s coming in 2025.
The teaser also sees the return of Modern Family’s Julie Bowen as Happy’s love-interest, Virginia Venit.
I love the original movie and this is high on the list for 2025’s must-watch movies. See you all on the sofa!
