Ever wonder what would happen if Freaky Friday, Back to the Future and Happy Death Day smashed into each other, creating a new horror comedy? Well, check out this new trailer and wonder no more!

Starring Keirnan Shipka, fresh off the likes of The Hangman’s Daughter, Sabrina and The White House Plumbers, it sees a modern young girl thrown back in time to [presumably] help stop a series of murders that have had a profound effect on her family.

It looks crude, silly, bloody and a great throwback to the movies people my age grew up watching and, as such, looks like a lot of Halloween fun.

Scream VII nabs Happy Death Day and Freaky director as Radio Silence step down

Thirty-five years after the shocking murder of three teens, the infamous “Sweet Sixteen Killer“ returns on Halloween night to claim a fourth victim. Seventeen-year-old Jamie (Keirnan Shipka) ignores her overprotective mom’s (Julie Bowen) warning and comes face-to-face with the masked maniac and, on the run for her life, accidentally time-travels to 1987, the year of the original killings. Forced to navigate the unfamiliar and outrageous culture of the 1980s, Jamie teams up with her teen mom (Holt) to take down the killer once and for all, before she’s stuck in the past forever.

They had so much time to kill in the ‘80s… 🔪 From Blumhouse comes #TotallyKiller – streaming on Prime Video October 6.

Starring Kiernan Shipka, Olivia Holt, Julie Bowen, Charlie Gillespie, Liana Liberato, Lochlyn Munro and featuring Randall Park.

Thoughts? I know you have them! Voice-off in the usual ways on FTN’s FacebookTwitter and Instagram

Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
