WATCH: Henry Cavill has a lot of fun in first trailer for Guy Ritchie’s The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare

January 31st, 2024 by Marc Comments

The fact that The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, from Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch director Guy Ritchie looks like so much fun is not a shock, the fact that it’s a true(ish) story, is!

Starring Henry Cavill, Alan Ritchson, and Alex Pettyfer, the movie focuses on Winston Churchill’s first-ever special forces team, sent to fight nazis in a, well, ungentlemanly way and it looks like it’s going to be a lot of fun.

Honestly, with this, Mission: Impossible, Argyll and the upcoming Highlander, it’s beginning to look like no longer being Superman is the best thing ever to happen Cavill.

Based upon recently declassified files of the British War Department and inspired by true events, The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare is an action-comedy that tells the story of the first-ever special forces organization formed during WWII by UK Prime Minister Winston Churchill and a small group of military officials including author Ian Fleming.

The top-secret combat unit, composed of a motley crew of rogues and mavericks, goes on a daring mission against the Nazis using entirely unconventional and utterly “ungentlemanly” fighting techniques. Ultimately their audacious approach changed the course of the war and laid the foundation for the British SAS and modern Black Ops warfare.
