When Disney took over 20th Century Fox, one of the casualties with Blue Sky Studios, the guys who animated the Ice Age movies and, as a final hurrah, the animators have given fans a surprisingly emotional farewell.
Fans of the Ice Age franchise will know that a thread running through the story was that of Scrat, the saber-toothed squirrel and his all-consuming quest to get an acorn that, frustratingly, he never… quite… got… his… little… paws… on.
Until now.
Yes, the animators, as a final farewell, have finally allowed Scrat to get the acorn and, as I said, it’s a surprisingly emotional goodbye.
