Remember the picture above that seemed to show Watchmen’s Comedian Jeffery Dean Morgan as Thomas Wayne on a painting from Wayne Manor in the upcoming Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice?

Well, while it’s taken almost a year, Morgan has finally been asked about the picture by someone – in this case Jimmy Kimmel – and his response, while not terribly committal, certainly gives us the vibe that he can’t say it’s him, but is certainly not saying it isn’t. Confused? Cool… just watch the clip.

What do you think, is he Thomas Wayne? Will we see him in the role beyond the painting? We’re saying that we would love to see both of these things. There’s something just right about him being Batman’s dad, don’t you think?

Fearing the actions of a god-like Super Hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before.

Batman and Superman will go it in on March 26th, 2016.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
