One of my favourite game franchises is Silent Hill and after a quiet few years, Konami brought it back in a big, big way.
Last week, Konami had a Silent Hill Transmission which they used to announce a very populated future for the terrifying franchise including a remake of Silent Hill 2, three new games and a third movie from original movie director Christophe Gans.
And, best of all, we have little teasers for all five of these new additions which will arrive… in the next year or so.
So, without further ado, let’s jump in.
Silent Hill 2 remake:
Bloober Team and original Team Silent artist Masahiro Ito and composer Akira Yamaoka are developing a remake of Silent Hill on PlayStation 5.
The remake will retell the story of James Sunderland who is looking for his dead wife, who sent him a mysterious letter from the town of Silent Hill. Konami and Bloober are promising a fully reworked game using new technology and delivered in 4K.
Having received a letter from his deceased wife, James heads to where they shared so many memories, in the hope of seeing her one more time: Silent Hill. There, by the lake, he finds a woman eerily similar to her… “My name…is Maria,” the woman smiles. Her face, her voice… She’s just like her. Experience a master-class in psychological survival horror―lauded as the best in the series―on the latest hardware with chilling visuals and visceral sounds.
Silent Hill F trailer:
After many long years, the classic psychological horror franchise Silent Hill is finally back with Silent Hill f. Silent Hill f is the first original Silent Hill sequel in years. In the trailer we see odd blood vines, and a Japanese Torii gate. The blood blossoms around a girl to reveal what looks like a creepy inner disease. Silent Hill f is written by Ryukishi07, creature & character design from kera, and produced by Motoi Okamoto. Silent Hill f has yet to receive a release date.
Silent Hill: Townfall announcement trailer:
A new spinoff developed by No Code Studios (Stories Untold) and publisher Annapurna Interactive. This new project will be a unique take on the Silent Hill franchise from a highly-decorated AA-developer.

Return to Silent Hill featurette:
