Well, there’s no question anymore… Jake Gyllenhaal definitely looks like he’s now the MCU’s latest supervillain…
New leaked images and video from the set of Spider-man: Far From home reveals Gyllenhaal with a suit and cape that certainly seems to agree with earlier rumours (here) that he was playing Mysterio!
We can see that the ‘fishbowl’ is missing from the suit and, while there could be numerous reasons for that, we reckon there’s a good chance that the helmet will be a CGI add-on in post-production.
“Debuting in The Amazing Spider-Man #13, Mysterio is Quentin Beck, a special effects wizard and stunt man working for a major Hollywood studio with dreams of making a name for himself in the film industry. However, he came to see his career in special effects as a dead-end job. His attempts to become an actor were poorly received, but he realized that his expertise in illusions could make him an effective supervillain.” Source: Wiki
We’re big fans of this guy and seeing him as this iconic Spidey villain? Yes, please!
