WATCH: Main Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles trailer is here

June 24th, 2014 by Marc 2 Comments

After the main character posters hiting yesterday and today, we knew there was another trailer coming and… here it is.

This trailer gives us good looks at the Turtles, Splinter and Shredder in action and a lot of the crazy sort of actin and dialogue we probably expect – they kinda had me at “Batman voice”

Anyway, let us know your thoughts…

The city needs heroes. Darkness has settled over New York City as Shredder and his evil Foot Clan have an iron grip on everything from the police to the politicians. The future is grim until four unlikely outcast brothers rise from the sewers and discover their destiny as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The Turtles must work with fearless reporter April O’Neil (Fox) and her wise-cracking cameraman Vern Fenwick (Arnett) to save the city and unravel Shredder’s diabolical plan.

Directed by Jonathan Liebesman, the film stars Megan Fox in the role of April O’Neil, Alan Ritchson as Raphael, Jeremy Howard as Donatello, Pete Ploszek as Leonardo, Noel Fisher as Michelangelo, Will Arnett as Vernon Fenwick, Danny Woodburn as Master Splinter and William Fichtner as Shredder with Johnny Knoxville and Tony Shalhoub lending their voices to Leonardo and Splinter respectively.

Teenage Mutant ninja Turtles will hit theaters on August 8th, 2014. IN UK CINEMAS OCTOBER 17TH

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….

This movie has great potential. I honestly believe that the only thing that could ruin this now is if the story is terrible. Say what you will about the turtles, and I’ll respond to you if you disagree (unless you’re just being an un-educated idiot) but I really like them, though I don’t like the over used of tech on Donatello. They seem to be all acting how they should too, and the dialogue is kinda funny from Mike. And before any arguements are started: Vernon’s comment about a “robot samuri” is sarcastic. The Shredder is just a guy in a suit which, as the guy said, has been upgraded. That basically just means more advanced weapons, not a giantrobot suit like the Silver Samuri was, and he’s about the right size. This movie may yet fail, but for now, the only excuse to hate it is that Michel Bay is involved, and that is not a valid arguement to me.
