Despite being a VERY divisive movie, Netflix’s Bright, starring Will Smith and Joel Edgerton and directed by David Ayer, has found an audience among it’s foul reviews.
And Netflix are so confident in that audience that they have already put plans in motion for Bright 2 and they are fully expecting stars Smith and Edgerton to return along with Ayer.
However, it seems that writer Max Landis will not be returning, with the sequel penned instead by Ayer for the second instalment.
There’s not word yet on when we’ll see the sequel.
I honestly haven’t watched Bright yet but I certainly plan on as people whose opinions i trust love and hate it in equal amounts… consider my curiously sparked.

Bright takes place in a fictional Los Angeles filled with fairies, elves and magic wands while acting as an allegory for real-world race relations. It follows a veteran cop (Smith) who reluctantly takes on a new partner, an Orc played by Edgerton, and has to protect a magical wand from law enforcement, criminals and an array of supernatural characters.
