September 14th, 2017 by Marc Comments

A couple of weeks ago we got the first short movie that acted as a prequel to Blade Runner 2049 (and a sequel to Blade Runner we suppose) (here) and we were promised three… and here’s the second.

Commissioned by director Denis Villeneuve this new short, directed by Luke Scott, focuses on the backstory of Sapper, a gentle giant of a character played by Guardians of the Galaxy star Dave Bautista.

Check it out below and if you’ve not seen the first short, check it out at the link above.

Thirty years after the events of the first film, a new blade runner, LAPD Officer K (Ryan Gosling), unearths a long-buried secret that has the potential to plunge what’s left of society into chaos. K’s discovery leads him on a quest to find Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), a former LAPD blade runner who has been missing for 30 years.

Director: Denis Villeneuve
Starring: Harrison Ford, Ryan Gosling, Jared Leto, Robin Wright, Barkhad Abdi, Ana de Armas, Sylvia Hoeks, Lennie James and Mackenzie Davis.

Blade Runner 2049 opens in theaters on October 6th

Character and international posters arrive:

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
