We’re almost there, Dune fans!

Tomorrow is the day when we finally get the trailer for Denis Villeneuve’s reboot (I guess?) of Frank Herbert’s iconic sci-fi novel, Dune.

The movie is highly anticipated by we Sci-fi fans… we at FTN just hope that it doesn’t end up like Villeneuve’s Blade Runner 2049 which was superb but no-one went to see it.

The movie stars Timothée Chalamet, Josh Brolin, Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac, Javier Bardem, Jason Momoa, Dave Bautista, Stellan Skarsgård and Charlotte Rampling.

A mythic and emotionally charged hero’s journey, Dune tells the story of Paul Atreides, a brilliant and gifted young man born into a great destiny beyond his understanding, who must travel to the most dangerous planet in the universe to ensure the future of his family and his people. As malevolent forces explode into conflict over the planet’s exclusive supply of the most precious resource in existence—a commodity capable of unlocking humanity’s greatest potential—only those who can conquer their fear will survive.

Duneis scheduled to hit cinemas on December 18th, 2020.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
