WATCH: Teaser trailer hits for A Quiet Place: Day One and it looks terrifying

February 8th, 2024 by Marc Comments

We’ve had it teased but so far in the first two A Quiet Place movies we haven’t seen the full chaos of the day the aliens arrived but now we’re going to get the full impact in the first spin-off movie in the series.

Following on from A Quiet Place in 2018 and A Quiet Place: Part II in 2021, A Quiet Place: Day One will see the deadly predators who hunt by sound crashing into New York City, the noisiest place on earth and, well, as we get a glimpse in the trailer, chaos and bloody destruction ensues.

Like the first two movies, Day One is based on a story by John Krasinski only this time it’s written by director Michael Sarnoski and stars Lupita Nyong’o, Joseph Quinn, Alex Wolff and Djimon Hounsou.

Thoughts? I know you have them! Voice-off in the usual ways on FTN’s FacebookTwitter, Instagram, Youtube, Bluesky,
Truth, Tumblr, Threads & Mastodon!

Nyong’o plays Sam, a tourist in New York City when the invasion takes place and she meets fellow survivor Eric played by Stranger Things star Quinn.

Sadly the direct sequel A Quiet Place: Part III was set to release next year with Emily Blunt returning but it has been delayed indefinitely as of now.

We’re all big fans of the Quiet Place franchise here at FTN Towers and this doesn’t look like it’ll disappoint.

A Quiet Place: Day One crashes into cinemas June 28th.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
