WATCH: The Sanderson sisters are back in Hocus Pocus: The Brew animated shorts

October 14th, 2018 by Marc Comments

So it’s the 25th anniversary of Hocus Locus (25?! For real?!) and it seems that, rather than making a sequel which fans are still crying out for, Disney is producing a series of animated shorts called Hocus Pocus: The Brew!

But here’s the really odd thing, we can’t find an information on it online.

We found the first (we think) two episodes, which we posted below and we learned that Laila Berzins is playing Winifred Sanderson – the role played in the movie by Bette Middler. The other sisters were played by Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy.

Here’s what Berzins had to say: “It’s just a bunch of Hocus Pocus! Thrilled to be voicing Winifred in a series of Stop Motion animated Videos in honor of the Sanderson sisters, This Disney Classic, And Halloween. Yes – It’s the witch take on “The View””

Aaaaand that’s all we know.

We also believe the Disney Channel reboot is still in the works (here).

But aside from that, we don’t know anything else…

Check out the animation below and let us know what you think, guys.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
