The first trailer for Tim Burton’s next movie, Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children has arrived online.

“Because our abilities don’t fit in the outside world, we live in places like this.”

Eva Green is a master of misfits in the first trailer for Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, re-teaming with Burton after Dark Shadows.

The fantasy flick, based on Ransom Riggs’ 2011 novel, follows a teenage boy who is transported to an island where he must help protect a group of orphans with special powers from creatures out to destroy them.

Allison Janney, Rupert Everett, Judi Dench, Chris O’Dowd and Samuel L. Jackson round out the cast.

Synopsis: From visionary director Tim Burton, and based upon the best-selling novel, comes an unforgettable motion picture experience. When Jake discovers clues to a mystery that spans alternate realities and times, he uncovers a secret refuge known as Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children. As he learns about the residents and their unusual abilities, Jake realizes that safety is an illusion, and danger lurks in the form of powerful, hidden enemies. Jake must figure out who is real, who can be trusted, and who he really is.
